“I’ve lived and owned a business in Palm Springs, and we still enjoy visiting multiple times a year. I always wanted to check out the Tennis Club after dining at the incredible Spencer’s, an it was a great deal for being nestled in the mountain. There are two things that are either deal breakers or not for some, and likely the reason the rooms are so affordable: 1. There is no housekeeping. They clean the rooms when you check out, but otherwise they will only bring you towels and toiletries. We were only there for 2 days, and I usually tip housekeeping every day so this wasn’t that big of a deal. 2. Check in/out is strict: 10:30am, and 4:30pm. We called in advance to let them know we would be early, and that we had massage therapists coming at 4:30, but despite this our room wasn’t ready until a little before 5pm, so we missed some of our massage time. Naturally, I thought this gave us some leverage for a slightly later check out at 11. The front desk went to talk to the manager for several minutes and to our surprise, the answer was still “no”. There are some unique assets to this hotel though: the room has a kitchenette with 2 electric burners, a dishwasher, and a 24 hour jacuzzi area. It’s situated directly next to the mountain which is beautiful, and is well maintained with a very old school vibe that I love. If you want a room you can cook in, and you don’t mind not having housekeeping (I personally love coming back to a clean room with my bed professionally made), this is a great deal.”

“We had a great weekend stay at the club. The room was nice and had everything we needed plus a full-sized refrigerator. The building has a great, retro look that harkens back to the Rat Pack days without being dusty and run-down. There were plenty of loungers and umbrellas around the pools to accommodate everyone. I'd absolutely stay there again.”

“Hotel itself is really good. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, adult pool and spa area is excellent. Staff are polite and friendly. HOWEVER. There’s nothing quite like a friendly welcome on arrival at a hotel you travelled 6000 miles to get to. And, sure enough, we got nothing like a warm welcome. Checked in early so that was good. But I’m afraid the iron faced robot who checked us in had the charisma of a stone wall and hasn’t cracked a smile probably since she was first offered a job at an interview! That just never leaves you really, first impressions and all that. Recommend the hotel but perhaps if certain staff don’t want to work as a receptionist they should find work somewhere else!”

“The room and facilities were well kept and beautiful! There are a couple pools and hot tubs to choose from. The property has beautiful flowers and lots of trees. It is set directly by the mountain and felt so safe! My son plays tennis- go to the tennis shop before 11 and she will set you up for future morning games against members- he was in heaven, I just wish we would have figured out our earlier in our trip. He also got to sign up for court times and the ball machine.”
